6.  Vernissage Poster

graphic design vernissage poster

Vernissage Incoming Poster on the wall.

This project is to design and produce a poster for the Dawson College 2022 graphic design exhibition. Conceptualization, employing type and image and the conflicts that arise between the need to communicate and the artistic self-expression will be addressed. The poster will portray 3 years’ experience in Graphic Design.

Process

This coming poster focuses on expressing the concept directly in the image and harmonizing the text and the image. As the image of mark appears to be approaching us, the concept of “incoming” is expressing the meaning of all the works we have done and our bright future is arriving and coming towards to you.
The yellow color from the poster portrays our bright and passions for 3 years and it represents the Pantone's pandemic colors for 2021. I wanted to express that although we have been struggling with Covid-19 for a year and a half out of three years, we have not lost our bright and passionate image and have grown more.

Vernissage Incoming Poster on the wall.

Outcome

The most challenging part was harmonizing the images and text into one poster while at the same time making the images stand out more. Since the image is made up of strong marks, it was difficult to balancing with the text and other colors, so I tried to keep the layout and formatting of the text simple.

A arrow icon button for going back to top of the page.
A black 4 angled stripes menu icon.
"X" icon for closing the menu in mobile. The initial logo of the webstie.
